About Us

From 1908-1940, Sears sold the house of your dreams through their famous catalog. For $650–$2,500, you could order a house. It would come via train in a box with ready-to-assemble instructions, and you could fully build your own dream home. These were called Kit Houses.

I got to stay in a Kit House a couple years ago, and it was quite the charming little bungalow. While I don't expect to find a kit house or assemble my own, I am on the hunt for new home in the Atlanta area.

I like the idea that all you need to do to get a dream house is build it. Kind of like, "If you build it, they will come."

This is a big move for my BF and I, and I am very much looking forward to making this an exciting challenge. It'll be a look into our search, our move, and eventually, turning our house into our first home.
